With enough production capability for a three-shift factory, ShopBot PRSalpha tools are our toughest, most sophisticated, gantry-based CNC routers.
Using advanced technology for CNC cutting, drilling, carving and machining, the PRSalpha series tools deliver rapid transit speeds of 1800 inches per minute and cutting speeds of up to 600 inches per minute.
Easy to configure and re-configure, learn and use, the PRSalpha CNC delivers affordable, full-production performance in digital fabrication of wood, plastic, aluminum, and other materials.
Traditional shop-size and larger.

220v single-phase, 230v 3-phase and 380/460V 3-phase power options are available, depending on tool and configuration.
The PRSalpha requires a fused disconnect installed by a licensed electrician. Spindle may require 3 phase.
While there are endless possibilities of what you can do with the ShopBot PRSalpha, here are a few examples of areas where people are putting their CNC tool to use:
With CNC, cabinetmakers can drill shelf pin holes, cut rabbets and dados, and profile-cut a completed panel. The operator only needs to handle the full sheet once to load the machine, and then remove the perfectly cut parts when complete.Learn more about Cabinetmaking with CNC
Realize your team’s aesthetic vision and go quickly from hand drawing to CAD design to full-size scenery panels. Complexity is easily incorporated when using CNC, so you can execute all kinds of ideas—including creating components in 3D.Learn more about Stagecraft with CNC
Sign makers are using CNC for 3D carving, V-bit carving, profile contouring, fluting, and engraving. It also provides them with the opportunity to cut their own channel letter components, frames, posts, and borders in-house.Learn more about Signmaking with CNC
High-volume furniture and millwork companies, as well as novice and master craftsmen, are embracing CNC technology. Craftsmen are quickly realizing that the CNC process doesn’t jeopardize their pieces' authenticity; it only adds to quality and uniqueness of the finished product.Learn more about Furniture with CNC
Like a lathe, a rotary indexer provides a 4th rotary axis for turning a part, but it also provides precise “indexed” control over rotation.Learn more about CNC Indexers
An ATC reduces production time by automatically changing cutters during tool paths, allowing you to complete complex projects in a fraction of the time.Learn more about the Automatic Tool Changer
Vacuum is one of the most effective methods to hold down parts for CNC cutting and machining. We offer options for universal hold down systems.Learn more about Vacuum systems
Proper dust collection not only ensures the cleanliness of your shop, it also protects your lungs from the various materials released into the air of your work space.Learn more about Dust Collection
