Spindle Control Boards

The Spindle Control Board allows the user to change the RPMs of the spindle using ShopBot’s control software. The Spindle Control Board is wired into the variable frequency drive (VFD) and connects to the computer through USB. The device is controlled with SB3 (ShopBot Control software) through a virtual tool: Tools, Spindle RPM Control [TR].  The Spindle Control Board can control up to two spindles on two of the same model VFD; the VFDs should not be mounted farther than 3 feet (305mm) from each other. A jumper cable (SB#10256) is needed to connect the two VFDs. The Spindle Control Board is compatible only with ShopBot alpha and V4G boards using SB control software v3.5.6 or greater.

Plotter Pen Bit
Allows your ShopBot to draw like a plotter.  Draw signatures, logos or other images.  Print large parts to scale before cutting expensive material.  Label parts for easy assembly of kits.  Mark locations for installing hold-down screws. Draws in permanent ink on paper, cardboard, MDF, particle board, plywood, foam, plastics and other smooth material. Designed to compensate for warped material and tables that are not perfectly flat. Automatically regulates pen pressure, making it easy for your ShopBot to draw a solid, uniform line without wearing down the pen's tip.
(#13105) Plotter Pen Bit -  For 1/2" collet; PRICE  $39.95

Drag Knife Bit
Allows your ShopBot to cut adhesive-backed sign vinyl, paper, cardboard and thin plastics (up to 1/32”). Can be used to create vehicle graphics, professional-quality signs, banners, magnets or parts from thin plastics. The adjustable-pressure Drag Knife Bit holds a carbide knife that swivels as your router drags it around the profile of your design and cuts through the vinyl without cutting through the wax paper backing.
(#13102) Drag Knife Bit - For 1/4" collet;  PRICE  $149.99

Diamond Drag Engraving Bit
Allows your ShopBot to engrave plastic, metal, glass and stone. Engrave signatures, logos or artwork. Create custom brass name tags for trophies/plaques or permanently engrave serial numbers and ID. Decorate aluminum, brass, glass, mirrors or granite, and score cut lines on plate glass for creating stained glass artwork. The floating-head bit automatically regulates pressure on the diamond tip, making it easy for your ShopBot to engrave a solid, uniform line on imperfect or warped material.
(#13103) Diamond Drag Engraving Bit -  Fits 1/2" collet;  PRICE  $179.99
