Current Employment Opportunities at ShopBot

Engineering Associate

• Development team position supporting readying new products for manufacturing. Skills: CAD/CAM, engineering documentation, spreadsheets, mechanical fabrication & machine shop, CNC and product development interests.

• Software, electronics, or electrical knowledge and experience an asset. Good communication skills to work at interface between development and production teams.
   

Electronics Technician

• Electronic production position in assembly and testing of CNC control system. Skills: circuit board assembly, electronic testing and measurement, industrial electrical, circuit board CAD and design, inventory management in a lean production system. Programming and/or microcontroller experience useful.

• Must be self-motivated and able to work in a team-based environment with little or no supervision. Also requires good communication skills with the ability to work across departments and to interface with sales, customers service, tech support, engineering, and inventory control.

Assembly Technician

• Production position in mechanical assembly and testing of CNC systems. Duties include shipping and receiving, packaging, mechanical testing. Skills: Ability in hands-on assembly of steel and aluminum components within tolerances, certified for forklift or standup vehicle operations, overhead crane experience, ability to lift up to 30lbs, understanding of lean principles and concepts.

• Must be self-motivated and able to work in a team-based environment with little or no supervision. Also requires good communication skills with the ability to work across departments and to interface with sales, customers service, tech support, engineering, and inventory control.

ShopBot Frontline: Inhouse Tech Support Position

• Position in ShopBot's Frontline team with primary technical support responsibilities. Work with customers to solve problems with tool function and to help with CNC and production issues, including design software coaching. Technical writing and documentation can also be a component of the position.

• Must be self-motivated and able to work in a team-based environment with little or no supervision. Also requires good communication skills with the ability to work with other aspects of ShopBot operations and to interact constructively with customers on support and sales issues. Previous experience with ShopBots very desirable.

ShopBot Frontline: Inhouse Sales Position

• Position in ShopBot's Frontline team with primary sales responsibilities. Work with customers to select appropriate CNC systems and provide occasional technical support. Also opportunities to contribute to website marketing with appropriate skills and interests.

• Must be self-motivated and able to work in a team-based environment with little or no supervision. Also requires good communication skills with the ability to work with other aspects of ShopBot operations and to interact constructively with customers on support and sales issues. Previous experience with ShopBots very desirable.
