Are you a regular kind of gal who wants the standard numbers on her clock, or a more whimsical wench who wants to explore the abstract? In this Woodworking for Women class at the ShopBot Jamboree, we’ll make some time…or, at least, some clocks. We’ll practice techniques and tricks of CAD/ CAM design that will build on the basics, and then go beyond. You’ll take home a design for YOUR clock, and a packet of information that will serve as a reference for other projects.

We’ll design and plan our clocks as a group, and prepare the files for cutting. If all goes as planned, we’ll have a chance to cut out the clocks before the end of the day. All levels of experience are welcome, from very beginner (what does she mean by CAD/CAM?) to experienced CNC woodworker who wants to get the creative juices flowing. The only requirement is that you come with the willingness to laugh and have fun.

There is no charge for the class, but please sign up in advance by emailing Sallye or calling 919 906-7228. Please plan to wear closed-toed shoes and comfortable clothes on the day of the class.

Directions to the class will be available at the Jamboree sign in, or by emailing Sallye.
