Major Update to ShopBot Control Software

> New Preview Mode Display (powered by Vectric; works with same mouse buttons and shortcuts as PartWorks display)
   - 2D and 3D views of tool paths with directions displayed in 2D
   - 3D view shows POSITION AND LINE NUMBER of file of segment that the cursor is positioned over
   - 3D view will SIMULATE THE CUT, after cutter is selected (uses your current tool database from PartWorks)
   - Many options for displaying the cut simulation, similar to previewing cuts in PartWorks
   - Toolpath preview for Rotary Indexer (to enable, set to display 5 axes in [VD] then click Indexer Preview box in Preview Mode)
   - RotaryWrapper program included to turn flat 3D file into a cylindrical file for indexer (C:\Program Files\ShopBot\ShopBot 3\RotaryWrapper.exe)
> New SbEdit (ShopBot Editor) with syntax coloring
> New window management and customization (window size and position remembered separately for Move and Preview Modes)
> New ToolBar that can be customized
> Graphical File Progress Indicator; Activate in [VD]; Click to Erase; Set options by right clicking
> New FG system for easier repositioning in an interrupted file
> New Multi-mode assignment for Input and Output Switches using [VN]
> For Developers an additional system for communicating ShopBot status to outside programs, uses registry - described in Programming Handbook.

With the Version Sb3.6.x Previewer you can check exactly how a cut will look with one cutting bit, then switch to another bit to compare. To SWITCH CUTTERS in preview hold down the CTRL Key when you click the "Preview Cut" button as you are requesting a second preview and you will be offered the cutter selection menu again. You can also pre-define a cutter for preview in a file with the statement:   'Tool Name   = {exact name of tool from library}. This cutter definition is automatically saved by the current PartWorks post processors (see below if you need an update).

If you are not sure that you have the latest ShopBot postprocessors for PartWorks, the latest versions can always be found in:  C:\SbParts\PartWorksPosts. To update your system, just copy these files to the PartWorks posts folder:  C:\Program Files\ShopBot\PartWorks V2.0\PostP.

Bill Young's newest idea was a big hit with all ages. He cut out a series of various sizes of wooden pieces with " dogbone" joints that allowed them to be connected in a variety of ways. Since an older generation of this concept had been called "Lincoln logs" the buzz at the Faire was that these should be called " Obama logs" .
