LinkerLogs

LinkerLogs is a new system of interlocking plywood
building pieces for kids of all ages. The system is
licensed under the Creative Commons license so that
anyone can use the design or add pieces, with the
only addition that they share any modifications that
they make.
If you
agree with the license conditions you can download
the LinkerLogs files in a zip file here to cut your
own pieces, just like the ones we cut at the 2009
San Mateo Maker Faire. They include ShopBot sbp
files, PartWorks crv files, and CAD drawings of the
pieces in dxf format. Sketchup models of these
pieces are also available in the Sketchup 3d
Warehouse. The files were created for nominal 1/2"
ply which varies in thickness, so there are versions
with slots that are .48" wide for plywood that's
.46" thick, and slots that are .50" wide for plywood
that's .48" thick, so that the fit isn't too tight
for small kids.

Is there going to be a Camp ShopBot in my area?
We are frequently asked if we can offer more events
in new locations so people don’t have to travel
great distances to attend. Because of this we are
searching for new “hosts” in new locations to make
it easier to attend a Camp ShopBot. If you would
like to host a camp, please contact Bill Palumbo at
campshopbot (at) gmail.com for details.
ShopBot will handle the publicity,
logistics,expenses, etc.
>You can learn more about our Camps at:

The next camp is
Sat. Sept. 12th in Troy ,VA at Jay Wyant's shop.

Automatic Tool Changer
The ShopBot automatic tool changer (ATC) is now
available for our PRSalpha CNC systems. The ATC
system includes the HSD spindle, a pneumatically
assisted Z-axis, six-position tool bank (for a
4ft-wide tool) or eight-position tool bank (for a
5ft or wider tool), fixed-position Z-zero plate,
chuck holder, pneumatically operated dust skirt and
ATC interface card. ShopBot's new eCabinet/ShopBot
link, which allows ShopBot's to process eCabinet
production files, will fully support the use of this
new ATC.
