Automatic Tool Changer at AWFS



Although there was a noticeable decrease in both company exhibits and public traffic at the July AWFS show in Las Vegas, there was plenty of excitement around the ShopBot booth for the first public appearance of the new ShopBot Automatic Tool Changer. The IPhone App and the LinkerLogs were also spotlighted.

CNC in School

At Sierra Grande High School, Colorado, the first-year students in Max Rivera's woodshop class designed, built, finished and marketed 40 bookcase cabinets. Proceeds will go toward more equipment for their school and a supply of stock wood "to keep these kids busy" next year.

Show off your work

CWB seeks entries for its 17th annual Design Portfolio Awards competition.
 
Winners and honorable mentions will be featured in the December 2009 issue of CWB. The top winner in each category will receive an award plaque and 100 reprints of the article. Honorable Mentions will receive a certificate and 50 reprints. DEADLINE: Deadline for submission of all materials is September 15, 2009.
