Projects with Cutting Files Included Gifts
TJ, ShopBot Tools, has designed several projects, many with the classroom teacher in mind. The basket looks very impressive but is actually a beginning level project. The adjustable lamp offers a "teachable moment" in following directions. Skip a step in assembly and you may have to break it back down. > www.shopbottools.com/mSupport/projects.htm
Jon Cantin, Wood Marvels, has converted some of his laser project files to sbp files which are available for a modest cost. He also has assembly tutorial videos for each item > http://www.woodmarvels.com/featured-designers/shopbot
From Ed Ufford in Richland, Washington: "Something to add to the curriculum for all the teachers out there. I didn't develop it but, it is free to teachers and the public as part of a National Science Foundation (NSF) grant to integrate STEM education through building electric guitars. After attending one of their workshops this summer and started using it in my classroom along with our ShopBot to build over 30 guitar bodies and the accompanying guitar necks. They have six different guitar body shapes and their accompanying Shopbot Partwork files ready for one to download and start cutting." > www.guitarbuilding.org
